Law Clerk to the Honorable Carl E. Stewart, Chief Judge, United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, 1994-1995 Lunn, Irion, Salley, Carlisle & Gardner, September 1995 to present. Partner/shareholder since January 2001. The Firm has been in existence since the 1930s. Focus of practice is personal injury defense, both for insurance companies and self-insured corporations. Personal areas of emphasis include nursing home medical malpractice defense, auto liability, products liability, employment law, civil rights litigation, and premises liability. My nursing home practice involves facilities that are qualified health care providers under the Louisiana Medical Malpractice Act. As a result, I have ongoing experience with the medical review panel process as well as litigation in the various state courts in Louisiana. My employment law practice involves both ongoing day-to-day advice for various corporate clients on employment issues, representing employers who have charges filed against them by employees with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Louisiana Commission on Human Rights, as well as representing clients in litigation in state and federal courts.
