James A. Mijalis
Mr. Mijalis is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. He earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Texas A&M University in 1982. Thereafter, he attended LSU Law School where he earned a degree as Juris Doctor in 1985. While in law school, he served as president of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity International and was a member of the Flory Trial Club. After law school, he served a one-year clerkship with the Louisiana Court of Appeal-Second Circuit where he worked for Chief Judge Charles A. Marvin. He joined the firm as an associate in 1986, and became a member of the firm in 1992. He has a diverse practice and has extensive experience in various litigation matters and insurance coverage issues. He is also regularly selected by his peers to serve as chairman in connection with medical review panels concerning medical malpractice issues. He is active in the Shreveport Bar Association having served on several of the association’s committees. He is married to wife, Angela, and has two children, Alex and Eleni.
